Bacon Cooking Instructions
Regular Slice Thickness - Hickory, Lower Sodium, Applewood Smoked, Center Cut
Stovetop: Cook bacon in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat until browned and crisp, turning to brown evenly.
Oven: Arrange bacon in single layer in shallow baking dish. Bake at 375oF for 12 to 17 minutes or until browned and crisp.
Microwave: Arrange slices in single layer between paper towels in microwave-safe dish. Microwave on High (100% power) for 55 to 65 seconds per slice. If cooking more than 4 slices, turn pan and rearrange slices halfway through cooking. Note: All microwave ovens vary. Times given are approximate.
Honey Maple Bacon
Due to its unique, sweet flavor, this bacon should be cooked slowly and watched closely. Do not cook bacon until crisp because it may burn. Our preferred cooking method is baking.
Oven: Arrange bacon in single layer in shallow baking dish. Bake at 350oF for 11 to 14 minutes until done. If desired, turn bacon halfway through cooking.
Stovetop: Using heavy skillet, cook bacon over medium heat, turning frequently.
Microwave: Arrange slices in single layer between paper towels in microwave-safe dish. Microwave on High (100% power) for 35 to 45 seconds per slice. If cooking more than 4 slices, turn pan and rearrange slices halfway through cooking. Note: All microwave ovens vary. Times given are approximate.
Thick Slice Bacon - All Varieties
Stovetop: Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crisp, turning to brown evenly.
Oven: Arrange bacon in single layer in shallow baking dish. Bake at 375oF for 16 to 21 minutes or until browned and crisp.
Microwave: Arrange slices in single layer between paper towels in microwave-safe dish. Microwave on High (100% power) for 70 to 80 seconds per slice. If cooking more than 4 slices, turn pan and rearrange slices halfway through cooking. Note: All microwave ovens vary. Times given are approximate.
Butcher's Cut Bacon
Stovetop: Cook bacon in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat until browned and crisp, turning to brown evenly.
Oven: Arrange bacon in single layer in shallow baking dish. Bake at 375oF for 19 to 24 minutes or until browned and crisp. Note: Not recommended for microwave preparation.
